Jean-Paul Alary is appointed to be Aircelle’s next Chief Executive Officer

Jean-Paul Alary has been named as Chief Executive Officer for Aircelle, effective June 15. In this role, he will succeed Martin Sion – who is moving on to the same position with Sagem (Safran).

Alary graduated from the Ecole Centrale Paris engineering school in 1990 and started his career in the engineering division of Snecma Moteurs, then moved to the production division. 

After heading a business unit at Microturbo Limited, he joined Hurel-Hispano (now Aircelle) in 2004 as CF34-8/-10 program manager, and subsequently was named head of the "future single-aisle jet" program. 

In April 2007, Alary was named head of Aircelle's Large Nacelles division, then Vice President, Programs in May 2008. He moved to Snecma's Commercial Engine division in 2010 as head of customer support. From July 2013 until this latest appointment, Alary was Executive Vice President, Safran Electronics division at Sagem.
