Nacelle systems for business jets

Safran Nacelles is one of the main integrators of aircraft engine nacelle systems in the world. On the business jet market for which Safran Nacelles has notably developed thrust reverser concepts (PERT® and Butterfly), Safran Nacelles is the partner of the main aircraft manufacturers: Bombardier, Dassault, Gulfstream, Learjet, Cessna, Embraer, etc.

Nacelle systems from Nexcelle – the 50/50 joint venture of Safran Nacelles and GE Aviation's Middle River Aircraft Systems – equip the Bombardier Global 7500 business jet, powered by two GE Aviation PassportTM engines.

The characteristics of Nexcelle's nacelle systems for the PassportTM engine include a one-piece extended aluminum air inlet to reduce the aerodynamic drag, and an innovative deicing system, advanced internal acoustic treatment to reduce engine noise.

A simplified composite fan cowling facilitates maintenance and reduces the weight of the system, while a target-type thrust reverser with fixed nozzle reduces the weight of the propulsion system and improves its efficiency.
